lifestyles. Programs include smoking cessation classes, nutrition and
fitness education, cardiovascular disease, cancer, traffic safety and
injury prevention.

Smoking Cessation Services
The Department of Health - Charles County offers a free 10-week smoking
cessation program, using the nicotine patch. Individual counseling to
quit smoking is also available. Please call to schedule an individual
consultation or reserve a space in the program. For more information,
call the Department of Health - Charles County, Health Promotion Division at

Want to help a friend or loved one to stop smoking? Download our
Smoking Referral Form and send it or fax it to us at 301-609-6937 and
one of our smoking cessation counselors will contact the smoker and
provide assistance.

We are available and can provide displays, interactive health
activities, games and speakers at health fairs and community events.
