Community Health Outreach Worker
                      AD# 08-044
Charles County Department of Health has an opening for a Community Health Outreach Worker (I, II) to provide outreach in the community for clients with Developmental Disabilities (DD) and Mental Retardation.  Education Requirements:  Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.  Duties include but not limited to:  Provide health care and disease prevention information to medically underserved populations under the direction of a health educator or other professional staff.  Schedules dates, times and locations for health education and promotion sessions.  Assist in preparing and assembling materials for health education and promotion sessions.  Contractual position, no benefits. 16 – 40 hours per week.  Closing date May 21, 2008.

                       DIETICIAN

The Charles County Department of Health, Division of Health Education and Promotion Services is accepting applications for a part-time dietician to work as a private consultant.  Duties will include but are not limited to providing approximately 150 hours annually of Nutrition education lectures and counseling for individuals and groups.  Consultation to program staff and managers regarding nutrition in Cardiovascular Disease Prevention Program development and implementation.  Applicants must be currently licensed by the State of Maryland. Part-time consultant position – no benefits.  Salary commensurate with experience.  Send State Application (MS 100) by May 28, 2008 to the Department of Health offices.

DENTAL ASSISTANT I/II (AD#08-037)
The Charles County Department of Health is seeking motivated energetic individuals to work with our new dental program.  Duties include but are not limited to: assist dentist in providing care for children and adults, takes and prepares x-rays, assists with nitrous oxide, maintains instruments, operatory and equipment.  Some evenings and weekends may be required.  Education:  Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of high school equivalence certificate.  Also, must be Certified Dental Assistant qualified to place and expose radiographs.  Experience:  For Dental Assistant I – One year experience assisting a dentist with duties related to dental care.  For Dental Assistant II – Two years experience assisting a dentist with duties related to dental care.  Full/Part time contractual position, no benefits.  Salary commensurate with experience.  Open until filled.

SCHOOL HEALTH NURSE (AD #08-032)
