Attachment and Bio-Behavioral Catch-Up Program
The Attachment and Bio-Behavioral Catch-up (ABC) program is a free in home program that enhances parenting skills. It is designed to strengthen the positive relationship between child and caregiver, while building trust and self-regulatory skills in the child. Additional outcomes are: parents develop skills that aid in reading, identifying and responding to the baby’s signals. This program has a duration of 10 weeks and only meets once a week for an hour. During the process, parents are offered positive feedback through sessions using video clip reviews and in the moment commenting.
- Parents of infants and toddlers (ages 6 months-4 years old) who have experienced early adversity (neglect, changes in caregivers, malnourished, drug addicted or affected)
- Parents/caregivers MUST have at least 50% of custody of the child
- Foster parents
- Must be a resident of Charles, Calvert or St. Mary’s county
